We’re seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer for the Onboarding Tribe with an emphasis on testing, focusing on functionality, compatibility, performance, and security. Responsibilities include creating test documentation, mentoring testers, and enhancing testing processes. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the software testing life cycle, proficiency with tools like Jira and TestRail, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Additionally, we are on the lookout for individuals who embrace AI tools in their daily work to drive efficiency and innovation, constantly evolving testing practices.
Your key responsibilities:
Develop and document comprehensive testing strategies for new features, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
Thoroughly test application functionality, compatibility, performance, and security, leveraging AI tools for test automation, analysis, and bug identification.
Maintain and create relevant test documentation, including test plans and test cases, incorporating AI-driven tools for efficient documentation generation and task automation.
Align process improvements with company policies and Onboarding tribe needs, while utilizing AI-based technologies for continuous process optimization.
Expect to perform routine daily tasks using ChatGPT or similar AI tools to enhance efficiency, productivity, and test coverage.
What we’re looking for:
Minimum 3 years as a Manual QA Engineer with a focus on backend systems.
Deep understanding of the software testing life cycle.
Familiarity with testing management and defect-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
Proficient in writing clear and concise test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and HTTP protocols.
Proficiency in using API testing tools like Postman, Swagger.
Experience writing SQL queries to validate database changes.
Advanced understanding of back-end systems, databases, and scripting languages (SQL).
Ability to set up and configure test environments using Docker containers.
Awareness of financial services, banking, payment processing, or related domains.
Proficient in industry-standard QA methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
Adapt methodologies for effective testing processes and cross-functional collaboration.
Commitment to continuously improving processes, tools, and product quality.
Basic understanding of software development.
Strong English communication skills.
Proven familiarity and experience with AI tools and other technologies, demonstrating a capability to seamlessly integrate these into daily tasks.
Nice-to-Have:
Strong command-line skills for troubleshooting and debugging;
Understanding of security, compliance, and data privacy in fintech applications.
