Our client is a Scandinavian technology company helping countries transition to smarter and more sustainable recycling systems. With a strong presence across Europe and trusted partnerships with some of the largest international retailers, the company provides advanced reverse vending machines that support national deposit return schemes. As they expand their footprint in Central and Eastern Europe, they are now entering the Bulgarian market.

Business Development Manager, Bulgaria


Responsibilities:
  • Drive market entry efforts by building relationships with key players in the retail sector across Bulgaria.
  • Represent the company’s product portfolio and tailor technical solutions for customers based on upcoming DRS requirements.
  • Lead the full sales cycle: from initial outreach and education to conversion and long-term relationship management.
  • Coordinate with technical teams and manage project logistics related to machine installation and maintenance.
  • Serve as the face of the company in Bulgaria, helping lay the foundation for a future local team.

Requirements:
  • University degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales and business development, ideally with capital equipment or technical B2B solutions.
  • Previous exposure to the retail sector, especially in selling systems like self-checkout or security tech, is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage complex sales cycles and project coordination.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to build operations from the ground up.
  • Strong interest in sustainability and circular economy solutions, with a passion for contributing to innovative and impactful projects in the field.
  • Full professional proficiency in English.
