We are looking for an experienced and visionary Head of Quality Assurance with a proven track record in building and scaling QA functions within complex, multi-tribe engineering organizations. Acts as a functional, not linear, leader — focusing on establishing a high-performing, organization-wide QA capability through clear strategic direction, process excellence, and technical leadership.

Serves as the Chair of the QA Council, leading and facilitating a strong network of nine QA Leads embedded within product development tribes. Ensures consistent quality standards, fosters cross-tribe collaboration, and drives alignment with the overarching QA strategy.


Responsible for shaping, refining, and executing the QA department’s strategic roadmap, including career development frameworks, growth plans for QA professionals, and performance standards. Actively promotes the integration of generative AI at both the process and individual contributor levels to enhance efficiency, coverage, and innovation within the QA domain.


Your key responsibilities: 


  • Provide functional leadership and strategic oversight for QA, aligning with company goals.


  • Act as the functional owner of the QA strategy, empowering tribe-level QA Leads for execution.


  • Lead and facilitate the QA Council, ensuring cross-tribe collaboration and alignment.


  • Identify and support strong QA leadership within each tribe, enabling independent implementation.


  • Design and maintain the foundational QA framework and standards.


  • Drive test automation and CI/CD integration across tribes.


  • Define and monitor QA metrics for continuous improvement.


  • Integrate generative AI into QA workflows and practices.


  • Serve as a strategic advisor and escalation point for QA Leads.



We're looking for: 



  • Proven experience scaling QA in fintech or other regulated domains, with a deep understanding of financial systems and data flows.


  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing complex test automation frameworks, including API testing, UI automation, and performance testing.


  • Expertise in Agile/Lean SDLC and manual/automated testing, with a focus on continuous testing and delivery.


  • Ability to design and operationalize QA strategies and standards, aligning with business goals and regulatory requirements.


  • Proven ability to mentor and coach QA Leads in strategic planning, problem-solving, and team development.


  • Experience in developing and implementing performance management frameworks for QA teams, focusing on growth and skill development.


  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.


  • Deep understanding of software architecture and design principles, enabling effective test planning and strategy.


  • Proficiency with CI/CD


  • Ability to evaluate and select appropriate testing tools and technologies based on project needs and budget.


  • Experience in setting up and managing test environments.


  • Demonstrated ability to integrate generative AI into QA workflows and drive adoption across teams.


  • Fluency in English.
